Keeping Arts Alive and Taking Arts to Community” – This initiative will keep arts alive by screening independent and contemporary cinema from India and Canada across Calgary. The screenings will be conducted through a combination of drive-ins and in-person screenings. The drive-ins will take place in parking lots and parks across the City. The in-person screenings will take place in independent cinemas and art space across the City. All this effort will employ numerous gig workers and support local businesses in Calgary. Finally, this initiative was created to utilize public space such as parking lots and make the public spaces more vibrant by bringing back community together in a safe environment.
